Veteran Potter's House is all about transformations. Transitions from clay into pottery as well as from a military veteran into a potter. God willing, we will be creating a studio in the future where veterans find healing through creating pottery and fellowship within the community.
The founding artist/owner is Matt Marasch. He is an Army combat veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne during Desert Storm and Desert Shield where he was one of the first 200 combat troops to respond to the invasion of Kuwait. He later served as operator in 7th Special Forces Group in South and Central America.
Matt was raised by two artists who introduced him to pottery at an early age. His intention is to further his skills to the point in which he can form a nonprofit studio and assist other veterans in finding peace and fellowship through pottery.
It is his hope to grow this business as he nears retirement. The vision is to transform the current small business into a nonprofit and create an opportunity to pay back the blessings he has received and be able to share experiences and love of pottery with fellow veterans.
Veteran Potter's house is currently located in Plymouth, MN.
